San Miguel County Substance Abuse Coalition – Recovery Month Blog

September 2021

RALI New Mexico is proud to partner with the San Miguel County Substance Abuse Coalition, an organization that works to prevent prescription drug misuse as well as underage drinking. This National Recovery Month, we want to highlight the great work that the San Miguel County Substance Abuse Coalition does for the community.

As we navigate out of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is also time for an important discussion about the intersection of mental health and substance misuse. The challenges of the past year have been many and have impacted each of us and our loved ones in different ways. While we have all been working to keep ourselves and our communities safe from COVID-19 there have continued to be increasingly difficult struggles for those living with addiction or working to manage their recovery from substance misuse.

The San Miguel County Substance Abuse Coalition is taking this Recovery Month to highlight those in the community who are bravely willing to share their stories. We encourage you to check them out HERE.

Thank you to the San Miguel County Substance Abuse Coalition for supporting New Mexicans in recovery, and thank you for your continued partnership with RALI New Mexico.
